I didn’t play sports until I was 13 and I sucked at them until I was 17. Since then I’ve been athletic.
I was pretty good at football and rugby and endurance sports, and was not good at martial arts but I competed a lot. I’ve done about 8,000 hours of formal exercise in gyms, mats, on on pitches.
I was born in 1976 but people mistake me for younger. The only thing fake on me is I dye my beard.

Health Industry and Philosophy Statement
There are thousands of nutrition coaches out there. Most are uneducated influencers peddling their own self-interests. 10 years ago a actual Canadian doctor published a book full of metabolic falsehoods. It sold about 1,000,000 copies.
Some coaches are well educated and well-intended but don’t have a lot of experience, or they’re just not very good. Look at our national food guide. It doesn’t give direction or education on fat portions (where most people eat too many calories).
I hate this industry. It’s extremely toxic and predatory. And yet I am in this industry.
Think of me as the antidote to the toxic nutrition and fitness industry.
I don’t recommend a special diet because many “diets” work. I adapt to client preferences.
You don’t have to buy my supplements because I don’t make any. But I do recommend supplements because sometimes they are needed.
You don’t have to do my “special workout”, because the best workout for you is one made for you
You have to show up, try new things, and don’t quit. It’s hard, but that’s why you have me.
I will meet you where you are, customize the advice to you, and continue to challenge you at an appropriate amount of support. I’ll even reach out when I think you’re struggling.
None of my health and fitness came easy to me. I can probably relate to what you’re going through.
I’m not perfect, and you don’t have to be either to feel amazing and be super-healthy.

The assessment is $50. My typical coaching programs are about $400 for a month or two and then reduce to about $200-$250 a month. This includes nutrition and exercise programs, body comp testing, behaviour change coaching, and unlimited contact between sessions. Blood test kits cost $300 roughly. Maintenance client programs are as low as $100 a month. Plus hst.

Probably. There are a lot of different benefit programs out there. Sometimes clients will do an assessment with me and submit a receipt for that, and see what they get. Note that I am not a registered dietitian but we have them on the team.

Clinically speaking, I reassess your progress, and make nutrition and/or exercise recommendations. But behind the scenes I am managing what is an incredibly-delicate process, to change one of the hardest things to change.

Sure if you want one, but I’d like to do better for you. My systems are more simple and flexible than meal plans. If you follow what I say you’ll get fast results without the pain of a rigid meal plan. But if you want one, of course I’ll make you a meal plan.

If I lock you in a fitness lab and feed you a hardcore diet, about three weeks. Then you’d gain most of it back. In real life, clients can take 10-40 weeks for 20 lbs. My goal is you don’t gain it back.

No one asks me this to my face but everyone wonders. Usually yes I am in great shape for an old guy. My body is injury-prone. I’ve really had to change how I train and eat as I age. My physique fluctuates between above-average-fit and so fit that my friends try to sabotage me out of jealousy :)
